The Climate
It's no wonder so many Winter Texans choose to call Brownsville home. This stunning area enjoys 230 days of sun every year, and its winter temperatures are warm enough for year-round gardening. You may even find citrus and avocado trees in your campground. Summertime average highs are in the 90s, while winter highs are around 70 degrees. Plan to carry a light sweater or jacket if you're going out during the morning or evening in winter. Otherwise, dress for the heat!
